Indian Mountain Forge is owned and operated by two brothers, Jared and Joel. Born and raised in Colorado, spending time in the woods of the Rockies has been a major part of our life. Hiking and camping transformed into hunting and other wilderness skills. This is the background to which bladesmithing has taken a prominent place. Having spent plenty of time in the woods, we understand the need for a reliable knife.
We began bladesmithing in 2015 using an outdoor fire pit as our forge. As our skills and knowledge increased, so have our tools. We became members of the American Bladesmith Society in January of 2018 and are currently pursuing the Journeyman rating.
Our knives are of heirloom quality; designed for a lifetime of use, and more. We perform every part of the process using proven methods from forging, heat treating, handle construction, finish work, to making the sheaths. This not only allows us to ensure the quality of every knife, but also allows us to put our heart and soul into each piece making each piece unique. We make blades that range in use from the kitchen to the back-country.
